FRIENDLY GAME 2010 | BAYERN MUNICH 0 (2) REAL MADRID 0 (4) | REAL MADRID MAKES BID FOR OZIL

REAL MADRID faced tonight its most serious warm up match to date against BAYERN MUNICH & won finally in the penalty shoot-out 2-4 after the match finished 0-0 & after the regular 90mins. However, the scoreline is totally misleading as Bayern was far the better team & should have won had it not been for the current Best Goalkeeper in the World & Real Madrid player IKER CASILLAS

Casillas stopped a Badstuber penalty shot in the 7th min after Ribery was fouled by Sergio Ramos in the area. In fact, Casillas was to latter make a series of vital saves that had goal initially written on the ball.

The Germans were stronger & quicker having more time to prepare than the Spaniards before this game & it was obvious all match that Real Madrid has work still to do. New signings Khadira & Carvalho started with both showing good signs so early in their adaptation phases. However, Real Madrid needs to coordinate themselves more in the midfield where they lost plenty of balls all night that gave the Germans the opportunities. In fact, Bayern took this match very seriously as the German League starts next week & this was a great chance to see how the team was before the start of the season, plus the "pride" factor was always present.

Real Madrid bettered somewhat in the late 2ºhalf with some clear chances to score but as the rest of the night sharpness was lacking. The game went into penalties & Casillas once again made two saves to give Real Madrid the victory & the Franz Beckenbuer Trophey.

Other news from Germany & concerning Real Madrid is the comments made by Real Madrid Director General Jorge Valdano, were he acknowledged that the Spanish Club had made a "reasonable offer" to German Club Werder Bremen for its 21 year old midfielder OZIL. The offer was rejected by Werder Bremen as they consider the player vital for this seasons proyect. Either this is true or they wish to receive a higher offer, as they risk gaining zero money because the player will be a "free agent" as of the 1st of January of 2011.

Stay tuned for developments as things will need to be sorted out before Werder Bremen plays its pre-Champions League qualifier, because if Ozil plays he will not be elegible to play Champions with another Club.
